Needs concentrate. Make a batch first: Cold Brew Concentrate Recipe: Simple 1:4 Ratio

Ingredients (one drink)

  • 100 mL3.4 fl ozCold brew concentratefrom the concentrate recipe
  • 120 mL4.1 fl ozCold water
  • 6Ice cubes
  • 80 mL2.7 fl ozCold whole milkfor the foam
  • 2 tbspCaramel sauce1 tbsp shaken into the foam, 1 tbsp for the drizzle
  • 1 pinchFlaky salt

US units are rounded. Weigh coffee and water if you can: a scale is how these ratios stay the same from batch to batch.

Steps

  1. Fill a tall glass with ice. Add 120 mL of cold water, then 100 mL of concentrate.
  2. Put the milk and 1 tbsp of caramel sauce in a lidded jar. Shake hard for 30 to 40 seconds, until the milk looks foamy and has gained volume.
  3. Spoon the foam over the coffee.
  4. Drizzle with the other tablespoon of caramel and finish with a pinch of salt.

The foam comes from shaking cold milk in a sealed jar. A handheld frother also works if you have one.

Use whatever milk you have, and shake until the foam stops getting bigger.
