Needs concentrate. Make a batch first: Cold Brew Concentrate Recipe: Simple 1:4 Ratio

Ingredients (one drink)

  • 100 mL3.4 fl ozCold brew concentratefrom the concentrate recipe
  • 120 mL4.1 fl ozOat milk, cold
  • 1 tbspBrown sugar syrupequal parts brown sugar and water, warmed until dissolved, then cooled
  • 1 pinchGround cinnamon
  • 8Ice cubes

US units are rounded. Weigh coffee and water if you can: a scale is how these ratios stay the same from batch to batch.

Steps

  1. Make the syrup: warm equal parts brown sugar and water in a small pan, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Let it cool. It keeps in the fridge in a sealed jar.
  2. Fill a lidded jar or cocktail shaker with ice. Add the concentrate, 1 tbsp of syrup and the cinnamon.
  3. Seal and shake hard for about 15 seconds.
  4. Pour into a glass with fresh ice and top with the oat milk.

Any lidded jar does the job if you don’t own a shaker.

Make the syrup ahead: a few tablespoons is enough for several drinks. Swap the oat milk for any cold milk you like; the amounts stay the same.
