Needs concentrate. Make a batch first: Cold Brew Concentrate Recipe: Simple 1:4 Ratio

Ingredients (one drink)

  • 90 mL3 fl ozCold brew concentratefrom the concentrate recipe
  • 180 mL6.1 fl ozTonic water, cold
  • 6Ice cubes

US units are rounded. Weigh coffee and water if you can: a scale is how these ratios stay the same from batch to batch.

Steps

  1. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  2. Pour in 180 mL of cold tonic water.
  3. Pour 90 mL of concentrate slowly over the back of a spoon so it lands on top.
  4. Add an orange wheel if you have one, and drink it right away, while the tonic is still fizzing.

Two liquids and ice, so the work is in the concentrate. Tonic goes in first and the concentrate on top.

The 1:2 ratio of concentrate to tonic is the same dilution the calculator defaults to for plain cold brew, so a batch of concentrate covers four of these with some left over.
